Senator Dick Sears amended a bill on criminal procedure (H.858) to include the original Senate language of S.241 (an act to regulate marijuana), as well as the addition of homegrown/cultivation licenses.

The full text of the current version of the bill can be found on Pages 4-57 at the following link:  http://legislature.vermont.gov/assets/Documents/2016/Docs/JOURNAL/sj1604...

The bill as amended and passed out of the Senate (on a 16-12 vote) will be discussed and voted on the House floor TODAY (Monday, May 2).

Please contact your Representative(s) and ask them to vote NO on H.858, or any bill or conference committee report that includes the legalization of marijuana in any form.

There are two ways to contact your representative: 1) via email (find your legislator at: http://legislature.vermont.gov/people/search/2016) or by calling (802) 828-2228 and leaving a message with the Sergeant at Arms office.
